2 People Injured in 3-Car Bolingbrook Accident
Two people were taken to the hospital following the crash, which shut down the intersection of Route 53 and Lily Cache Lane for about an hour.
Two people were injured in a three-car crash in Bolingbrook Monday, according to police.

The crash took place at 5:17 a.m. at Route 53 and Lily Cache Lane. The crash shut down the intersection for about an hour.
According to police, a car attempting to turn left from Route 53 to Lily Cache Lane struck a car traveling southbound on Route 53. A third car, which was waiting to turn onto Lily Cache, was then hit.

The driver of the first car, a 67-year-old woman, was cited for disobeying a traffic control device. She was entrapped within the car and was one of two people taken to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital.
Neither injury appeared to be life-threatening, according to police.
