Woman Attacks Man with Box Cutter, Batters Police Officer: Bolingbrook Police

The box cutter attack took place Tuesday on the street at Rockhurt Road and Bedford Road in Bolingbrook.

A Bolingbrook woman was arrested Tuesday afternoon after police said she cut a man in the throat several times with a box cutter and then battered a police officer trying to separate the pair.

The incident took place at 2:30 p.m. at Rockhurst Road and Bedford Road.

Kashmire R. Clemons, 18, of the 500 block of Rockhurst, was allegedly having an argument on the street with a 32-year-old man when she swung a box cutter at the man, striking him in the throat with "several superficial cuts," according to Bolingbrook police.

A police officer arrived on the scene and attempted to separate the two but was then battered by Clemons as she tried to attack the victim. The officer called for additional units and peace was restored.

The 32-year-old man was treated by Bolingbrook Fire Department medics on the scene and released.   

Clemons was taken into custody and is charged with aggravated domestic battery, aggravated battery of a peace officer (both felonies) and resisting a peace officer (misdemeanor).
