Woman Restrained After Refusing to Have Sex with Boyfriend: Police

Mohammad Farhan accused of refusing to allow the 21-year-old woman to leave a hotel room during a dispute Tuesday morning.

A Lockport man faces a felony unlawful restraint charge after refusing to allow his girlfriend to leave a Bolingbrook hotel, police said.

Mohammad Farhan, 22, of the 16000 block of Blackhawk, Lockport, was arrested Tuesday morning after allegedly becoming upset when his 21-year-old girlfriend refused to have sex with him, according to police.

Lt. Mike Rompa said Farhan held the woman down on a bed at a hotel in the 500 block of Bolingbrook Drive as she attempted to fight back. Farhan then sat in front of the door, blocking the victim from leaving the room, police said.

The struggle then moved to the hallway area, where an employee saw Farhan batter the victim, according to Rompa. Hotel staff then called 911.

No one was hurt in the incident, police said.

Farhan was taken to the Will County jail and charged with unlawful restraint and domestic battery. He was due in court Wednesday afternoon.
