Woman steals cash from Home Depot registers

Susan Astrowski, 38, 148 Turtle St., Shorewood, was arrested at 3:53 p.m. and charged with theft at Home Depot, 105 N. Weber Rd., after taking U.S. currency from cash registers, police said.

Purse stolen from unlocked car

A purse was taken from an unlocked car on the 200 block of Jonathan Way between June 6 and 7, police said. The purse and empty wallet were located in a neighboring yard.

Aggravated battery, disorderly conduct

Raymond Wolff, 57, 317 Hadleigh Rd., was arrested at 8:50 p.m. and charged with aggravated battery, criminal trespass to property, disorderly conduct and resisting a peace officer on the 500 block of S. Bolingbrook Drive, police said.

Cell phone stolen

Officers were called to a business on the 300 block of Veterans Parkway for the report of a theft, police said. A thief asked to borrow a cell phone, then grabbed the phone, ran to a waiting vehicle and drove off at 7:45 p.m. The loss was valued at $375.

Car stolen from parking lot

Officers were called to the 600 block of Preston Drive for the report of motor vehicle theft, police said. A 1997 Oldsmobile Bravada was stolen from the lot between June 7 and 8.

In-state warrants

Kyle McKown, 27, 1212 Courtland Cir., Plainfield, was arrested at midnight and charged with four in-state warrants on the 300 block of Veterans Parkway, police said.
