AFSCME, County OK Tentative Deal; Employees Back to Work Thursday
No details on contract released other than an agreement has been reached on "all outstanding issues."
A tentative contract agreement was reached early this morning between AFSCME Local 1028 and Will County. Striking employees are set to return to work Thursday. Here is a joint statement released by both sides:
At approximately 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, negotiators for Will County and AFSCME, Local 1028 reached tentative agreement on all the outstanding issues in their negotiations for a new collective bargaining agreement. AFSCME-represented employees will be returning to work beginning with the first shift on Thursday, December 5th. No details of the tentative agreement will be released until after the ratification vote which is scheduled for Thursday, December 5th.
