Deadline Approaching for Valley View 365U School Board Petitions

           Petitions are still available for candidates who wish to pursue one of the four Valley View School District 365U Board of Education seats that will be contested in the April election.
          The first day for filing is Monday, Dec. 13. Board Clerk Delorise Ivy will begin accepting petitions at 8 a.m. and will continue accepting them every day next week until 4:30 p.m. All candidates who are in line at 8 a.m. on Dec. 13 will be placed in a lottery to determine ballot position. All others who file from that point on will appear on the ballot in the order in which they file.
          The final day and time for filing is 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 20. Absoutely no petitions will be accepted after that time.
          Three 4-year seats and one 2-year seat will be on the April ballot.
