Will County Public Hearing on Proposed Budget

The Will County Board's finance committee is holding a public forum Oct. 27 to allow Will County residents the opportunity to give input regarding the proposed 2011 budget.

According to a release, board members recently received the budget from the County Executive's Office and are currently performing a line-by-line review of the $173 million spending plan.

The budget includes a 3.7 percent increase in spending, a hiring freeze, and voluntary severances and furloughs to achieve additional savings.
