Library, Park District Boards Set to Meet Tonight

The governing boards of the Fountaindale Public Library and the Bolingbrook Park District will meet tonight.

The Bolingbrook Park District's board of commissioners will meet tonight and, though not on the agenda, will likely tend to some rather grim business.

The board will have to decide on a replacement for Dave Piekarski, who and was serving as the board's treasurer. 

The board hopes to have a new commissioner in place by its Oct. 20 meeting. Any replacement must be approved by a board vote.

The only official business on the park board's agenda is a director's report on district operations and activities updates.

The park board meets at 7 p.m. at the .

The board of trustees, meanwhile, will hold a public hearing on the FY 2012 budget at 6:30 p.m. followed by the board's regularly scheduled meeting at 7 p.m. Both events will be held in the library's board room on the second floor of the new .

At the regular meeting, the board is expected to adopt the budget and approve the chief fiscal officer's statement of revenues. 

The board will also vote on two revisions to its finance policy.
