Registration will begin for the rooms in October, library officials say.

The rooms had been off limits to the public because of limited parking for library patrons, said Paul Mills, the library's executive director.

Registration for the rooms will begin in October. Applications for the rooms may be submitted via the library's website. A refundable reservation fee of $50 will be due within three days of the reservation, and audio and video can be requested.

According to the new policy, the rooms may not be used for social functions, private parties or receptions.

Meeting room A has a capacity of 120 people while Meeting Room B can hold 40 people. The library's Board Room, which is also available for reservations can hold 35 people.

Priority will be given to the library's board, library activities, community organizations and non-profit organizations.
