Bolingbrook police blocked off a section of Lily Cache Lane Monday afternoon as construction crews may have hit a gas pipe, causing minor traffic jams along the road.
Bolingbrook Lieutenant Mike Rompa said traffic was being diverted on Lily Cache between Lindsey Lane and because construction crews possibly hit a gas pipe.
No evacuations were needed and the road has since been reopened.
Nicor crews were on scene to address the incident.
The fourth phase of Lily Cache will —one lane each way, with a turn lane in the middle—from Schmidt Road to Veterans Parkway, that will have a parking lane for village residents living off the section of the road.
The project is on track to be completed in September.
The fourth phase will cost roughly $7 million.
