Man Convicted of Robbing Bolingbrook Bank Gets Jail Sentence

William Baaske to spend nearly four years behind bars for holding up West Suburban Bank in December 2009.

The man convicted of robbing a Bolingbrook bank in 2009 was sentenced to three years and 10 months in a federal prison Friday.

William, Baaske, an unemployed man from West Chicago, robbed the West Suburban Bank at 672 E. Boughton Road in December 2009. He is also being ordered to pay back more than $8,000 to the bank, according to a report.

Baaske, 45, was sentenced in Chicago by U.S. District Court Judge Milton Shadur, who also placed him on two years of supervised release, the report said.

According to the report, authorities in Joliet and Bolingbrook began investigating Baaske after two financial institutions were robbed within two weeks of one another under similar circumstances.
