New Fitness Center, Urgent Care Office on Village Board's Agenda

The Bolingbrook board of trustees will meet tonight at 8 p.m. at the Bolingbrook Town Center.

The Bolingbrook board of trustees will meet tonight at 7 p.m. and vote on several agenda items, including granting special use permits for two new tenants in the village's Market Square Center.

The board will consider two ordinances that would allow a new urgent care center and a new fitness center into the shopping center, located on South Bolingbrook Drive and anchored by .

The Bolingbrook Urgent Care would occupy the 1,409-square-foot space at 148 S. Bolingbrook Dr. and operate Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with three to six employees.

The office would have three fully-stocked exam rooms, a procedure room and have x-ray capabilities. 

Zip Fitness, meanwhile, would occupy a 15,292-square-foot space at 126 S. Bolingbrook Dr. and is requesting an special use permit to offer hours of operation between 4 a.m. and midnight seven days a week.

Jim Reddinger, the businesses applicant, said he chose the location because of the close proximity to other conveniences such as Walmart.

The fitness center will offer two membership fees: $12.99 per month for regular membership and $24.99 per month for a deluxe membership. The deluxe membership, according to a village plan commission report, would receive 50 percent off drinks, would have guest privileges, could use the tanning facility and would have a personalized training and weight room.

Also on tonight's agenda is a presentation of the U.S. flag by Bolingbrook police officer Brigitte Buitron on behalf of her sister, Navy Petty Officer Gaby Buitron; and the 2011 male, female and family of the year.
