Presidential Poll: Who's Your Pick?

Bolingbrook Patch will poll readers on a weekly basis to gauge their interest in the election and its candidates.

Another week, another presidential poll.

On Wednesday, the four Republican candidates debated in Mesa, Arizona, as a prelude to the Feb. 28 Arizona primary election. Michigan is holding its primary on Feb. 28 as well. The outcomes of these elections should give us a better idea who the front-runner actually is.

Illinois’ primary is on March 20, and Patch will post one of these polls each week, with the hope of tracking the changing political landscape. So far, Barack Obama has taken each of our polls, if only by a few votes. Newt Gingrich, who once dominated, only scored one vote last week. And Ron Paul surprisingly motored into first place among Republicans last week.

You know the drill by now. Which of the presidential nominees are you favoring at the moment? Vote below, and let us know in the comments. Thanks!

What do you mean by that? Gee, why not Obama? Gas is up to $6.00 a gallon in Florida, beef is up something like, I don't know...300%, we're 15trillion give or take a few in debt, and the best is yet to come: Why The U.S. Economy Could Go Haywire Americans participating in a recent Gallup poll showed the highest level of confidence in an economic recovery in a year. Sounds great, but you can’t ignore the nearly 13 million unemployed, the 46 million people on food stamps and the roughly 29% of the country’s homeowners whose mortgages are under water ,,,So there you have it, a slew of scary events, any of which could clobber the economy and the financial markets at any given moment. How real such risks are is anybody’s guess, but the message from our worrywarts is clear: there’s still plenty of economic danger ahead. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/guest-post-why-us-economy-could-go-haywire BEST OF ALL, if OBAMA wins re-election we get Nancy Pelosi back as Speaker (and she said....) @Roseann Gas is 3.60 in tampa. the only places with gas near the $6 mark are two gas stations near disneyland, where they are notoriously famous for ripping off tourists. maybe you should check your sources before you post yea?

Roseann, all the events you mention would have happen if McCain won the election and not Obama. Gas is going up because of the Iranian nuclear issues and the uncertainty of oil coming our way. A refinery here in the US had a major fire and can't process oil into gas right now. The unemployment, housing market, etc were heading that way prior to the last presidential election. Whoever wins the presidency in November, will benefit from the changing tide. Everything is turning positive. These things don't happen over night.
