Village OKs Electronic Message Board Near Janes Avenue and Boughton Road

The agreement will allow for a second electronic message board in the village, as well as provide advertising for local businesses.

officials have entered into an agreement with an advertising company to bring an electronic message board to the area near Janes Avenue and Boughton Road.

The village currently has three message boards—two which are manual, one at Briarcliff Road and Route 53 and the other at Boughton and Weber roads; and one that is electronic at Fire Station No. 5 on Rodeo Drive.

All are used to post community information.

The agreement with Impact Outdoor LLC will not only allow for another electronic message board in the village but will also provide advertising for local businesses.

“This agreement helps us meet our goal to expand the presence of community message boards without incurring cost,” said Bolingbrook Trustee Mike Lawler. “The advertising that Impact Outdoor sells will be intermingled with village-supplied content for community awareness.”
