Will County Announces Election Day Polling Hours

The Illinois primary is March 20. The last day to register to vote is Tuesday, Feb. 21.

Will County Clerk Nancy Schultz Voots announced this week information on how area voters can cast a ballot early in the upcoming March primary.

Early voting is available beginning Monday, Feb. 27 through Thursday, March 15 to any registered voter in Will County, a  release said.

According to the clerk's website, state law requires that a registered voter show valid photo identification before voting early. Voters casting an early ballot must display a current driver’s license, a state-issued ID card or another government-issued ID with a photograph.

The County Clerk’s Office is located at 302 N. Chicago Street in Joliet and is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The office, according to its website, will remain open until 6:00 p.m. on Feb. 21 to accommodate those who cannot come in during regular business hours.
