49 VVSD Students Named AP Scholars

Twenty students from Bolingbrook High School were named AP scholars, according to the district.

Forty-nine current and former Valley View School District 365U high school students have been named 2012 AP Scholars by the College Board.

To be an AP Scholar, a student must receive a 3 or higher (out of a possible 5) on three or more Advanced Placement exams. An AP Scholar with Honor must average 3.25 on all exams taken and must receive a 3 or higher on four or more exams. And an AP Scholar with Distinction must average 3.5 on all exams taken and receive a 3 or higher on five or more exams. Advanced Placement exams are given in 10 academic areas.

AP Scholars with Distinction are: Jordan Braband, Christopher Felicelli, Sajani Gumidyala, Carlos Jimenez, Cailin O’Donnell and Laura Seimetz from Bolingbrook High School, and Anh Dang and Catherine Ives-Louter from Romeoville High School.

AP Scholars with honor are: Sandeep Bharadwaj, Kevin Gomez, Andrew Limthongviratn, Katrina Nebrija, Samantha Patterson and Hannah Stanford from Bolingbrook High School, and Cayle Higgins and Alejandro Ortiz from Romeoville High School.

Bolingbrook High School AP Scholars are: Rach Anderson, Dara Jane Bartolome, Jacob Enda, Radwan Faci, Stephen Garrett, Tasneem Habib, Eric Hansen, Alex Jewell, Taylor Jordan, John Kolder, Jason Kuntz, Jacqueline Medellin, Kimberly Mensah, Phoebe Kirst Mondala, Ryan Moy, Caleb Munson, Suraj Sheth, Tomoko Shibata, Jordan Villas and Amanda Wijangco.

Romeoville High School AP Scholars are: Thomas Barkoski, Daniel Bill, Pawel Fudala, Mary Gitogo, Richard Jett, Michael Keller, Collin Langer, Alexander Lurie, Michael Murray, Courtney Nurczyk, Emily Oliver, Nicholas Sodt and Zachary Widel.
