Addams Wins VVSD Middle School Math Crown for Second Year

Jane Addams is the overall 2014 Valley View School District 365U Middle School Math Contest champion for the second straight year.

The Mustangs tied for first in the 7th grade team competition, finished 2nd at the 8th grade level, won algebra, and took home four firsts and three seconds in individual competition.

  • 6th grade—1st  James Tynan, Addams and 2nd Sierra Crownhart, Lukancic
  • 7th grade—1st Mark Lou and 2nd Charlie Steenstra, both Addams
  • 8th grade—1st Jolin Zheng, 2nd Aza Leal and Allie Platon, all from Addams

Algebra—1st Hannah Yeung, Addams and 2nd Haley Carr, Brooks
