BHS Girls Win State 4x100M Relay Championship

As a team, the Lady Raiders finished eighth in the state.

4x100m relay team blazed home in 46.58 to win the Illinois High School Association's state girls track championships Saturday.

Team members include seniors Kim Azie, Rosemary Onyeguble and Kim Taylor, and freshman Jessica Watkins.

Azie medaled in the 100m dash, finishing 4th. She also finished ninth in the 200m dash. Senior Kayla Bell took fifth in the triple jump.

Meanwhile, Romeoville High School's 4x200 relay team (senior Latasha Fizer and juniors Colleen Lilly, Angel Jones and Kaitlyn Hammock) finished sixth in the state.
