Fabby Williams to Resign as Bolingbrook High School Principal

Fabby Williams plans to resign after completing his first year on the job.

After just more than six months on the job, principal has decided to resign, school officials said Friday.

Williams will complete the remainder of the school year and vacate his position effective June 30.

received official word from Williams Friday and wished him the best.

"Valley View School District has received a communication from Principal  Fabby Williams indicating his intention to voluntarily resign his position as principal of Bolingbrook High School effective June 30, 2012," Mitchem said in a statement. "VVSD wishes Mr. Williams well in his future endeavors."

Williams was and began work as BHS principal that July.

Further details as to why Williams resigned were not immediately known. The district released only the statement on Friday.

Williams was hired as part of Valley View Superintendent James Mitchem's . Williams didn't last through his first year in the district.

"I get the sense this is clearly somewhere where I want to work until I retire," Williams said shortly after beginning his tenure with the district. "This is a place where I can raise my family.”
