BHS Homecoming Week Set for Sept. 17-22

Bolingbrook High School will take on Homewood-Flossmoor Sept. 21 for its annual Homecoming game.

A full week of activities is planned for the third week of September to celebrate homecoming.

The main highlights of the week include the sophomore (5 p.m.) and varsity (7:30 p.m.) football games against Homewood Flossmoor on Sept. 21 and the homecoming dance Sept. 22.

Tickets for the “Red Carpet Premiere” dance ($20 per person) will be on sale before and after school only at the BHS Bookstore on Sept. 13 and 14 for BHS students only and from Sept. 17-20 for BHS students and approved guests. Guest request forms may be picked up at the Bookstore starting Aug. 22. They must be returned by 2 p.m. Sept. 12. No tickets will be sold at the door.

The Homecoming King, Queen and court will be announced at the homecoming pep rally on Sept. 21. Organizers have not determined a start time as of yet. Nomination forms for homecoming court may be picked up at the Bookstore starting on Aug. 22. Forms are due back by 2 p.m. Sept. 12.

The annual Powderpuff football game will take place at 6 p.m. Sept. 20 in the BHS Stadium. Admission is $1 except for those who bring cash or food donations for the Power Connection food pantry.

The entire week will be “Spirit Week” including: Monday Pajama Day, Tuesday Toddler Day, Wednesday Character Day, Thursday Class Colors Day and Friday Spirit Day.
