Two Bolingbrook High School teachers have been selected to present at the Illinois State University Connections Conference March 13 and 14 in St. Charles.
Sebastian Kapala and Livia Cutler will share their experiences in helping develop the cross curricular model that will be implemented at BHS for the 2013-14 school year.
The Connections Conference is part of the Connections Project which is designed to assist the Illinois State Board of Education in initiating pilot High Schools That Work programs. HSTW is a national initiative designed to prepare students for careers and further education by improving curriculum and instruction in high schools and middle grades. Through the project, Connections assists in the effort to raise performance in low-performing and urban high schools, while raising the standards in career/technical education.
Connections Project staff work with educational personnel and leaders throughout Illinois to improve the basic skills, technological literacy, and employability levels of all students.
