Bolingbrook Mayor Roger Claar personally delivered pizza to first-graders in Maggi Jenkins’ classroom at Independence Elementary School as part of an end-of-year reading celebration that was initiated when first-grader Jada Andrews had a conversation with the mayor about wanting to start a book club to help other children become better readers. The mayor joined the class in celebrating their year-long hard work in reading.
