Bolingbrook's Jonathan Sallee Earns Master's Degree from Lewis

Jonathan Sallee of Bolingbrook, a member of the Educational Leadership Cohort, recently earned a master's degree in Educational Leadership at Lewis University.

The Educational Leadership Cohort was formed due to a partnership of the Joliet Diocese Schools Office and Lewis University. The goal of the cohort was to meet Illinois requirements for a General Administrative Endorsement, and address the needs of the school leaders for faith based schools located in the Joliet Diocese.

Candidates for this cohort were all Joliet Diocese parochial school teachers who were nominated by their principals for the program. They began the program in the spring of 2012, and completed it in the fall of 2013.

The challenging curriculum at Lewis University prepares educators to effectively transition into leadership positions such as principal and assistant principal. As a candidate in the Educational Leadership program, individuals will learn specific and customized leadership methods through courses such as Ethical and Moral Foundations of Education Leadership, Critical Issues in School Law for Educational Leaders and School Finance. With rolling admission and open cohorts available at many of the campus locations, Lewis University is the perfect place to prepare for a P-12 Principal Endorsement and prepare to become a principal or assistant principal.
