Brooks Middle School is getting a new parking lot. The demolition is already underway.
"The asphalt reached the end of its life and needed to be replaced," said Larry Randa, director of community relations for Valley View School District 365U in a statement.
Brooks Middle School is located at 350 Blair Lane in Bolingbrook.
The east parking lot is closed through August 8, according to the school's website. Visitors are asked to use the west lot and door 18 instead.
