VVSD Middle School Spelling Bee Rescheduled

Fifteen middle school students will square off in the Valley View School District 365U annual spelling bee.

Because of the blizzard last week, the bee was rescheduled to Thursday.

A description by the district of students competing is as follows:           "Defending champion James Zahorick of Lukancic Middle School will return to face some tough competition including Brooks 8th grader Lajju Sudhaker who finished second last year, Humphrey 7th grader Campbell Bovaird who was third last year and Humphrey 8th grader Latrisse Belser who was fourth at both the district and the Will County bees last year.
Also expected to do well are Jane Addams entries, Johnathon Cook, Elliott English and Elizabeth Niedziela; Bethany Pemble, Raven Baker and Lukas Gacek from Martinez; Kyle Robinson and Christian Padilla from Lukancic; Christy Parzyszek from Humphrey; and Mahanoor Azhar and Claire Young from Brooks."
