Flories to be VVSD’s 6-12 Director of Literacy, Social Studies

Karen Flories was previously the English Department Chair for Romeoville High School.

English Department Chair Karen Flories has been named Valley View School District 365U’s Director of Literacy and Social Studies for grades 6-12.

Flories, who joined the RHS faculty for the 2007-08 school year as a behavior disorder teacher, has been teaching English at RHS for four years. She was named Department Chair last year.

One of the sponsors for Romeoville High School’s highly successful Freshman Advisory program, she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in secondary English from Governors State University and a Master’s in Educational Administration from Concordia University.

She will assume her duties immediately.
