Ford Sixth in 200M, Perkins 11th in High Jump at State Track Meet

Two student-athletes finished in the top 12 at the boys state track championships over the weekend.

Perez Ford ran the 200 meter dash in 22.4 seconds to finish sixth in the state. Ford also competed in the 100 meter dash and the high jump but did not make it past Friday's preliminaries in either event.

Xavier Perkins was 11th in the high jump with a leap of 6-feet-2-inches. He won his flight in the preliminaries by jumping 6-feet-5-inches to qualify for the finals.

Bolingbrook High School's Jordan Banks made it downstate in the triple jump but did not make it past the preliminaries.
