No School Tuesday: Dangerous Wind Chills Remain in Forecast

Students will be off, but Valley View officials are calling for all administrators and school principals to report back to work Tuesday.

With dangerous wind chills predicted to continue for at least another day, Valley View School District officials have decided to cancel classes for Tuesday, Jan. 28, according to a news release issued by Community Relations Director Larry Randa.

In the news release, Randa said transportation will not be provided to students attending schools outside District 365U.

However, he said all administrators, including principals, must report to work Tuesday if possible. And he said the Admininstration Center will be open on Tuesday.

The National Weather Service Chicago is predicting wind chill values to go as low as minus-38 on Monday night in the Bolingbrook/Romeoville area with a daytime high of minus-1 on Tuesday.
