PHOTO GALLERY: Bolingbrook Participates in Lincoln-Way Special Games

Twelve high schools, from Palos Hills to Bolingbrook, participated in the March 1 Lincoln-Way High School District 210 Special Games in New Lenox.

The 12th Annual Special Games at Lincoln-Way Central High School brought together students involved in special education programs from 12 high schools in the region.

The field house was alive March 1 with students and peer helpers for the special games event that featured plenty of clowning around from professional sports teams mascots, including the White Sox, and high school mascots.

The 12 schools participating in the event are: Andrew, Bolingbrook, Bradley-Bourbonnais, Joliet Township, Lincoln-Way Central, Lincoln-Way East, Lincoln-Way North, Lincoln-Way West, Lockport, Sandburg, Stagg, and Homewood-Flossmoor High School.

From relay races to bowling, the students cheered for their favorit teams and players throughout the day. They participated in disc throw, target throw, beanbag toss, running sprints and dribbling. There was also a football toss, ring toss and basketball hoop shoot.
