Salk Families Learn to Read Directions Together

The Bolingbrook School hosted a Family Reading Night on March 20.

Submitted by Valley View School District:

Jonas Salk Elementary school students and their parents experienced a unique Family Reading Night Thursday evening.

Instead of guest readers and rooms featuring various reading genres, participants were asked to read and follow written or computerized directions for making a variety of items and performing a variety of activities.

Two rooms were dedicated to Origami, one for children is kindergarten through second grade and another for children in grades 3 through 5.
