Schoffstall to Retire as Valley View Superintendent

Schoffstall to retire after more than seven years as on the post.

Valley View School District 365U Superintendent Phillip Schoffstall plans to announce his retirement from the post tonight at the district's regularly scheduled board meeting, according to a letter he sent to all Valley View personnel.

"I thank you for what you have done for our students, for what you are doing on a daily basis, and for what we will do together in the remaining months to provide our students with the best educational experience," he said in the letter.

Schoffstall's retirement will be effective June 30, marking the end of his contract.

Schoffstall has been the Valley View superintendent since 2003 and has been in education since the 1970s.
