Six Valley View Students Qualify for Cross Country Sectionals

Two Romeoville High School boys and four Bolingbrook High School girls have qualified.

Two Romeoville High School boys and four Bolingbrook High School girls advanced to Illinois High School Association cross country sectionals with strong performances at the Lockport Regional over the weekend.

RHS sophomore Mike Samuelson ran the Dellwood Park course in 17:33 and senior Josh Sopczak turned in an 18:09 time both of which were good enough to advance

Moving on for BHS will be junior Naomi Mitts (21:02), freshman Marissa Caputo (21:16), sophomore Cassandra Cerpa (21:23) and junior Sydney Banks (21:37).

Next weekend's Sectional qualifiers will advance to the state finals in Peoria Nov. 3.
