In less than a month, the state has slacked on nearly $1 million worth of bills it was supposed to pay the Valley View School District.
According to district documents presented to the school board earlier this week, the state owes Valley View $7.98 million. That figure is up from the the state was left with last month.
Most of the money owed to the district is tied to transportation and special education funds.
