Tammi Conn Named Director of Consumer and Technical Education
Conn currently works for Kaneland High School and will start with Valley View on Nov. 5.

A Kaneland High School educator with extensive experience in helping to prepare students for life after high school has been named Director of Career and Technical Education for Valley View School District 365U.
Tammi Conn, currently Chairperson for Kaneland’s Career and Technical Education, as well as Kaneland’s Data Warehouse Coordinator, will join the VVSD team on Nov. 5.

A graduate of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale with a Bachelor’s Degree in Workforce Education and Development, she holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University.
Conn launched her career in education in 1999 when she joined the Kaneland faculty as a business and economics teacher. Prior to that, she worked in the private sector for 10 years as Chief Financial officer for the Evangelical Training Association, Programs Director for Travel Service Network and a junior accountant for Scripture Press Publications.

As a State Board of Directors member of DECA, she is deeply involved in the international not-for-profit group which is dedicated to academically preparing students for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management while also preparing them to be community-oriented, professionally responsible, experienced leaders.
Conn is a member of the National Business Education Association, the Association for Career and Technical Educators and the National Council on Economic Education.
