One of the best Christmas gifts of the season was delivered recently to first-graders at Bolingbrook's Independence Elementary School by a very special Santa.

Specialist Ryan Prater, son of Independence teacher Barbara Prater, made time to read to a classroom of children while he was home for the holidays, according to a Valley View School District news release.

Now, if only someone would help him work on his physique ... He's a little skinny for a Santa, don't you think?
