The time will be used for teacher collaboration, data review, and assessment creation. The district will also assist with professional development in the buildings to ensure teachers are supported and students receive quality instruction throughout the year and are both challenged and supported.

Regular bus routes will run at early dismissal times each day for those who normally take the bus. Two activity buses will also run at each middle school, one at 2:35 p.m. and one at 4 p.m.

Upon dismissal, normal supervision protocol will be followed. Supervision will be provided for students who need to stay after school for school events or activities as well as for students whose parents want them to remain at school until the normal 2:35 p.m. dismissal time. In the latter case, a signed permission slip is necessary.
