Valley View School Board Results: Two Incumbents, Two Newcomers Elected

Three of the four candidates on the "Friends of Valley View" slate received the most votes in the Valley View School District 365U school board Tuesday night.

Incumbents Elizabeth Campbell and Chrystal Hansen and newcomers Daniel Falese and Deborah Sykora received the most votes in the Valley View School District 365U school board election Tuesday night.

Eight candidates, three incumbents and five newcomers, ran for the four school board seats.  

Ronnie Bull, an incumbent, was the only candidate on the "Friends of Valley View" slate not to be elected. The four candidates on that slate were endorsed by Mayor Roger Claar.

Only 109 votes separated Daniel Falese and Jaime Olson. Election results will not be official until Tuesday, April 30 when canvassing of votes is completed and after absentee ballots postmarked by midnight, April 8, and provisional and grace period ballots are counted on April 21.

Two years ago, all four candidates on the "Friends of Valley View" slate swept the Valley View School District 365U school board election: Chrystal Hansen, Richard “Rick” Gougis, Leo Venegas and Steve Quigley. 

These are the results of Tuesday's election, ranked in most to least votes.
