Valley View Teachers' Contract Expired Six Months Ago -- Still No New Contract
Valley View School District and Valley View Council Local 604 of the American Federation of Teachers have yet to announce an agreement for a new contract.
Valley View School District 365U teachers are still working off of an expired teachers' contract, one employee told Patch.
The contract for Valley View School District 365U teachers expired in August.
A proposed contract was voted down overwhelmingly in September based on salary, higher insurance premiums and changes to the daily schedule, according to the Bugle. Of the 1,800 certified and classified members, 92 percent rejected the contract.

One teacher aide from Valley View said that as of Feb. 20, she had not received another contract to vote on.
The union received a counter proposal and the union and the district are continuing negotiations, the Bugle reported in November.
