VVSD Early Childhood Center Offering Development Screenings

The screenings are designed to identify children who may have educational concerns in the areas of motor development, cognitive development, social development, speech and language development, vision, or hearing.

Parents of pre-school age children who live in Valley View School District 365U and are concerned about their child’s development may contact The Valley View Early Childhood Center to begin a screening process.

The screenings are designed to identify children who may have educational concerns in the areas of motor development, cognitive development, social development, speech and language development, vision, or hearing. Three, four, and five year old children (who have not entered kindergarten) are eligible for the screenings.

During the first stage of a screening parents are asked to complete an Ages & Stages Screening Questionnaire . Once the questionnaire is returned, the Early Childhood team will review it. If the team feels a child needs a personal screening or an evaluation it will be done by a scheduled appointment.
