Say Beignet: Coffee, Wine Bar Opens in Bolingbrook Promenade
A grand opening celebration is in the works.
You don't have to go all the way to New Orleans for a great beignet.
Say Beignet Coffee & Wine Bar is serving up the fried French-style pastries since opening last week at The Promenade Bolingbrook.
The upscale eatery, located at 627 E. Boughton Road across from the iPic Theaters, offers beignets in a variety of flavors, along with salads, appetizers, flatbreads, a selection of meats and cheeses, smoothies, wine and coffee creations.
Owner Edwin Rios said the restaurant's soft opening was on May 20, but a grand opening celebration in the works.
The June 5 event will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Bolingbrook Mayor Roger Claar, Rios said, along with live music. Rios said he's working on lining up musicians now.
"It's going to be a wonderful night," he said.
