Lincoln-Way East 42, Joliet Central 0: Lincoln-Way East notched its 100th varsity football victory Friday night by defeating Joliet Central 42-0 in the home SouthWest Suburban Blue. The milestone win comes 10 years after the program played its first varsity game in 2001. According to the IHSA, Lincoln-Way East may be the fastest team to accumulate 100 wins. (Herald-News)

The Porters scored with less than1 minute left in regulation to tie game and then clipped the Eagles in overtime. The game might have started with a 96-yard touchdown return of the opening kickoff by Lockport's Dexter Taylor, but it took extra time to settle the matchup betweenSandburg and Lockport Friday night. It was senior night for the Porters, and the Eagles were hoping to spoil the celebration. And they came extremely close, but fell short in overtime 27-24. (Orland Park Patch)
