Bolingbrook Football Defeats Sandburg; Tickets for Second Playoff Round On Sale Monday

Bolingbrook High School dominated over Carl Sandburg high school in the first round of the IHSA football playoffs Friday. 

Bolingbrook will now play #1 Neuqua Valley Friday night, Nov. 2, at 7 p.m. at Bolingbrook High School. Tickets will be available for advance purchase starting Monday in the Athletics and Activities Office for $5 between 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. 

You can also purchase tickets at the gate Friday night or at Neuqua Valley's Athletics Office from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday. 

During Friday's game, Sandburg jumped out to a 7-0 lead and controlled the ball early. Bolingbrook struggled with turnovers and missed opportunities.

But the second half was a different game for the Raiders, as quarterback Quincy Woods and running back Jaden Huff dominated the Eagles' defense. 

Scoring 33 points in the second half, the Raiders shut down the Eagles' offense for the remainder of the game. With the final score of 39-7, the Raiders move on to the next round of the state playoffs and will host undefeated Neuqua Valley, which won 56-20 against Naperville North.
