Bolingbrook Soccer Club Girls U16 Team Joins Elite Division

Bolingbrook Soccer Club (BSC) is pleased to announce that the U16 Girls  Purple Team has been selected to join the Illinois Youth Soccer Association (IYSA) State Premiership Division.  The BSC U16 Girls team was one of only eight teams selected to join this elite division.

“The ladies on this team have worked very hard to achieve this goal,” said John Sidman, President, Bolingbrook Soccer Club and U16 Girls Head Coach.  “Participating in the IYSA State Premiership Division is a great honor and will allow the team to compete against the very best teams in the state.”

The Illinois Youth Soccer State Premiership Division (SPD) is a state-run competitive division for premier teams registered with Illinois Youth Soccer member competitive leagues (IYSA Member League).  This exclusive competition was designed to reduce costs and travel expenses for elite teams and allow the best teams in Illinois an opportunity to compete against the other top teams in the state while meeting the requirements for State Cup and Midwest Regional League (MRL).  State Premiership games will be played August through November of this year.

The U16 Girls team was also accepted into the Midwest Regional League (MRL) for the third straight season.  Each state selects between 8-11 teams to participate in this league each season.  The mission of the MRL is to provide the highest standard of competitive play for youth teams in US Youth Soccer Region II (the Midwest Region) and to assure the continued growth and development of elite level players.
