Bolingbrook’s Aysia Bugg Verbally Commits to University of Pittsburgh

Bugg plays guard for Bolingbrook High School and the Bolingbrook Panthers.

Bolingbrook High School guard Aysia Bugg has verbally committed to the University of Pittsburgh, according to Midwest Recruiting Report

Bugg will be a senior at BHS in the fall.

She had received offers from Bradley, IUPUI, Liberty, Ball State and Missouri-KC, according to Midwest Recruiting Report

"Pitt is a diamond in the rough, and the new coaching staff are intent on being a "force" within their new conference,” her father, Al Bugg, told MWRR.

“The fact that Aysia was their first priority in their long-term vision, was a huge factor. Throw in their high standard of academic excellence, rich sports tradition and overall school pride, and an awesome city - it was a no-brainer!"

"I'm looking forward to getting better," Aysia said. "The conference is so good and I can only get better. I'm very happy with going there.
