Bolingbrook's Matt Raycraft Takes Medalist Honors in Bowling Regional

Hot hand of senior bowler leads Raiders to a second-place finish as they earn a slot in the Jan. 25 sectional at Orland Bowl.

Bolingbrook senior bowler Matt Raycraft had the hot hand.

He averaged 229.3 for six games and claimed individual medalist honors at the Minooka Regional Saturday. Raycraft finished with a pinfall total of 1,376 and also powered the Raiders to a second-place finish, according to IHSA.org.

Bolingbrook, with a team total of 6,047, followed hot on the heels of host Minooka (6,264) in the final team standings. Both move on to the Andrew Sectional Jan. 25 at Orland Bowl. Plainfield North (5,721) and Oswego (5,682) also advanced.

Bolingbrook picked up contributions from senior Eric Kramer (1,295), senior Kurt Messenger (1,181), senior Gio Montecinos (1,059) and junior Matt Strzechowski (1,136).
