Boys Basketball: Bolingbrook Rolls Past Short-handed Sandburg

The Raiders were able to jump out in front early on, using a 15-2 second-quarter run en route to a 47-33 victory in Orland Park. The Raiders coasted to a 22-15 lead at the half, and they sealed the win by shutting down Sandburg in the third.

Quotable I: Bolingbrook Coach Rob Brost: "It ended up being a possession game rather than an up-and-down, which is what we'd rather have. A credit to our kids is that we were able to adjust to the possession game and play it right. This is a tough place to play and a tough place to win."

Quotable II: Sandburg Coach Todd Allen: "I thought we came out well and started with some good energy. Bolingbrook started making threes and we had some trouble shooting the ball. Defensively, we held them somewhat in check, but we had some costly turnovers."

Team Records: Bolingbrook improves to 5-2 overall and 3-0 in the SWSC Blue. Sandburg falls to 1-4 and 1-1.

What's Next: Sandburg hits the road Saturday, Dec. 10 for an early evening game against Lyons Township. Bolingbrook will visit Nequa Valley on Wednesday, Dec. 14.
