"This is the best team BHS has had in years,” Coach Chuck Marik said about his Raiders who finished fifth in the regional behind Neuqua Valley, Plainfield North, Yorkville and Oswego. “We have four guys who can go low on any given day."

D'virgilio advanced to the sectional tournament for the fourth consecutive season by shooting an 82.

"I was nervous,” the BHS senior said. “I have been so close to the state tournament for three years now and I just want this so bad.  I settled down and played some really goodgolf on the back nine."

Following closely behind was fellow senior Kramolisch who fired an 84.

"I was really pumped up on the first tee and hit three of my worst shots of the season and started with a triple-bogey,” he said. “I knew I would have to grind and do my best to hold the round together."

Nagel, a sophomore, captured the tenth and final spot for the sectional tournament by shooting an 87.

"Obviously, we wanted to advance as a team,” Mark said. “We battled all day and fell just short, but I am so proud of these guys and how they have represented the school and community all season.  They are all high quality young men and the three players who are advancing are perfect examples of what can be accomplished with hard work, dedication and focus.”
