Boys Soccer: Raiders Play to Draw With Bradley

Bolingbrook moves to 8-6-1 on the season with a tie on Tuesday.

The Bolingbrook High School boys soccer team, staring down the barrel of its sixth loss in eight games, received some late-game magic en route to its first tie of the season Tuesday.

Senior midfielder Alex Cruz stole the ball from a Bradley defender about 30 yards out and beat two defenders off the dribble to score the game-tying tally late in the second half. 

The Raiders moved to 8-6-1 on the season with just more than a half-dozen games remaining on their regular season schedule.

Bolingbrook got its first goal from Luis Loya after the sophomore forward chest volleyed a free kick from senior defenseman Alexis Sarabia into the back of the net.

Raiders goaltender Luis Rivera stopped five of seven shots he faced on the day.
