The Bolingbrook High School girls basketball team will look to improve upon an already impeccable season record as it takes its No. 3 national ranking on the road tonight against Sandburg.

The Lady Raiders (4-0, 2-0) have won four-straight, , including nationally-ranked Memphis Central on its home court.

Tonight's matchup pits Bolingbrook against fellow Southwest Suburban Blue Conference foe Sandburg (3-5,1-1), which has lost four of its last five games.

Sandburg head coach Chris Hellrung is hoping junior forward Kristen Bailey, who has been sidelined with an ACL injury this season she suffered while playing soccer in the spring, can return to action—Bailey averaged five points and six rebounds per game last season and was expected to return by the end of December.

But so far, Bailey has been a non-factor strickened to the bench.

Without Bailey, the Eagles are relying on a young bunch, a third of which are just sophomores.

"The loss of Kristen (Bailey) is going to hurt us since no one player can really replace her," Hellrung told Orland Park Patch in November. "However, it seems the other girls have picked up their game enough to lessen the effect of her loss."

In the meantime, junior center Jen Pache has taken on a key role and will undoubtedly be asked to carry a bulk of the load against an overmatched Bolingbrook front court that includes forwards Morgan and Taylor Tuck.

Morgan Tuck comes into the game on fire, having averaged 29.5 points per game over the last two games. She figures to be among tonight's leading scorers as well.

The Lady Raiders will also be looking to shore up any shortcomings they may find in their game before they fly off to Phoenix for the ultra-competitive Nike Tournament of Champions, where more than a dozen nationally-acclaimed high school teams will vie for bragging rights.

Gametime against Sandburg is set for 6 p.m. at , located at 13300 S la Grange Rd., in Orland Park.
