Jane Addams Girls Cross Country Team Finishes 21st in State

Four Valley View School District 365U middle school cross country runners placed in the top 60 at Saturday's rain-plagued Illinois Elementary School Association state finals in Pekin.

Jane Addams eighth-grader Caleb Robertson ran the course in 11:13 to finish 20th on the boys' side. A. Vito Martinez eighth-grader Justin Suits was 45th in 11:33.

On the girls side, Jane Addams Middle School finished 21st as a team. Addams eighth-grader Arianna Amill was VVSD's highest finishing girl at 46th in a time of 12:39. Humphrey's Trianna Rodriguez was 53rd in 12:41.

The following students competed in the state meet: 

Jane Addams girls: Arianna Amill, Katherine Caranza, Natalia Hernandez, Jamie Perakis, Katie Ford, Emily Ng, Andrea Rodriguez, Madison Shroda, Naomi Popoolapade and Nicole Tungol.

Jane Addams boys: Caleb Robertson and Fernando Mondragon-Torres

Humphrey girls: Trianna Rodriguez

Lukancic boys: Carlos Ibanez

Martinez boys: Justin Suits
